Adopt a Grandparent is a free, year-round community outreach program being developed by The Language of Compassion LLC for seniors in Rutherford and Surrounding Countues, North Carolina.

Our seniors have paved the way for generations. We want to honor them with companionship, kindness, birthday recognition, holiday gifts, and meaningful connections.

Beginning Christmas 2026, our goal is to reach seniors with the support of caring volunteers and community sponsors.

Get Involved

Volunteer Your Time
Help brighten a senior’s day through conversation, cards, and planned activities. Volunteers must complete our application and screening process before participating.

Become a Community Sponsor
Help provide holiday gifts, birthday surprises, and essential items. Contact us to discuss current needs before purchasing or delivering items.

Refer a Senior
Know a senior who may enjoy extra companionship? Contact us to learn more. Please get their permission before sharing their contact information.
